Born in Pennsylvania she was baptized into the Presbyterian Church. On August 24, 1803 Anne married John Hawley, in Washington County Maryland.
She and her growing family lived near Greencastle, Pennsylvania and Canton, Ohio prior to moving with family to Union County, Ohio where she and husband John pioneered a farm between Marysville and Milford Center.
Anne was the mother to at least 8 children, the last being born before the family moved to Union County, Ohio.
She died prior to her husband in 1846 and was buried in the Marysville Cemetery. Sexton's records at Oakdale Cemetery in Marysville, Ohio show that Anne, her husband John and daughter Elizabeth were moved to Section E of Oakdale in 1903. Her VERY worn marker remains, with many pieces having fallen off in to a pile at the base of her marker (as of 2019).
