No children were born to this marriage, but they did adopt one male child, named him Homer Glen Garner.

GLADEWATER - Services for Mrs. Garner, 64, of Gladewater, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Friendship Baptist Church near Glasewater with the Rev. Alexander officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of the Malcolm Stone Funeral Home.

Mrs. Garner died Monday in a Kilgore nursing home after a lengthy illness. A native of Cleveland, Okla., Mrs. Garner had been a resident of Gladewater for 45 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Dale Garner of Gladewater; one son Homer G. Garner of Fort Worth; a grandson, Chad Garner of Fort Worth; seven brothers, Walter Duckworth and Ed Duckworth of Gladewater, Buck Duckworth of Waskom, Ira Duckworth and J.D. Duckworth of Cushing, Okla., Abe Duckworth of Cleveland, Okla., and Jack Duckworth of Kansas City, Kansas; and 3 sisters, Mrs. John Kerr of Douglas., Mrs. Sadie Ryan of Riverside, Calif. and Mrs. Edith Johnson of Hoisington, Kansas.
