HOISINGTON - Edith Johnson, 81, died Monday at Hoisington Hospital. Born Edith Duckworth June 27, 1897 at Cleveland, Okla., she married Homer H. Benson Oct. 1, 1912. He died in 1941. She married Lloyd Johnson in 1943, he died in 1956. She lived here since 1960.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hoisington.

Survivors include daughters; Mrs. Dorothy Sutton, Hoisington; Mrs. Doro Hines, Santa Ana, Calif.; brothers: Eugene Duckworth, Waskom, Texas; Edd Duckworth, Gladwater, Texas; half-brothers: J.D. Duckworth, Gushing, Okla.; Ira Duckworth, Drumwright, Okla.; Walter Duckworth, Dallas, Texas; Abe Duckworth, Cleveland, Okla.; sister: Mrs. Sadie Ryan, Riverside, Calif.; half-sister: Mrs. Lola Kerr, Texas City, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington; the Bev. Don Zook. Burial in Hoisington Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.
