William J. Baker, 83, died early this morning at the Home
hospital in Lafayette, where he had been under treatment for the past five weeks. Mr. Baker was born in (Ohio
on March 4, 1861, and went to Windfall when a young man.
He had lived there until the time of his illness when he was taken to the home of a niece, Mrs. Keller Beeson, of Lafayette. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. His brother, John Baker, died in 1933. The body will be taken to Windfall this afternoon to the S. S. Edwards funeral home. The funeral will he held at the Christian church, but the time of the services has not
been arranged. Mr. Baker had been a member of the Windfall Christian church for many years.
