"THOSE WHO RECEIVED THEIR LAST SUMMONS. . . . .
Mrs. A. E. Bachman. The death of Mrs. Fanny [sic] H. Bachman, wife of A. Eugene Bachman, occurred at her home on East Main street, this borough, on Friday morning at 5 o'clock, from pneumonia. She had been ill ten days. Mrs. Bachman was seventy years old, and was a Miss Ritter before marriage. She was born in Warwick township. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Lititz. Deceased had resided at Farmersville thirty-five years, but for the past two years lived in Lititz. Her husband and the following children survive: Monroe E., Des Moines, Iowa; John B., Farmersville; Jacob R., Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Henry Eberly and Mrs. Harry Martin, Groffdale. Forty-two grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. One sister, Mrs. John Longenecker, residing near Longeneeker's meetinghouse, and two brothers, Jacob Ritter, of Owl Hill, and Benj. H., of Oklahoma, also survive. The funeral was held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the Church of the Brethren at Lititz. Interment was made at the Zion's Brethren church cemetery at Rothsville at 2 o'clock."

Fannie H. Ritter married Aaron Eugene Backman on 20 September 1866 in Lititz, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Fannie and Aaron had seven children.
