Velma Crain (nee Troxell), 89, Cocoa, Fla., formerly of Raytown, Mo., passed away Friday, July 29, 2011, at home in Lost Lakes, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her daughters, Beverly Seever of Titusville, Fla., Barbara Boden of Cocoa, Bonnie (Leo) Gatewood of Cocoa, and Brenda (Ron) Eyring of Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, John (Elloise) Troxell, Kansas City, Kan.; and one sister, Dorothy (Bob) Wallace, Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dale Crain. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel, with graveside services at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
