Mr. Bravard and 15 yr old Ernest Lingo of Nason drowned after a boat with five occupants capsized on the river. Mr. Bravard was tryin to save the Lingo boy.
He married Marie Brannum in Centralia on October 31, 1935. In addition to his wife and children he is survived by three brothers, a half brother and one sister.
Services for Verner Bravard, 43, of Nason, who drowned Sunday afternoon in the Little Wabash River, will be held at 2pm Friday at Myers Chapel. Burial will be in Knob Prairie Cemetery.
