"LAST RITES FOR MRS. J. CAMPBELL WED. AFTERNOON

ILL WITH PNEUMONIA FIVE DAYS; HAD LIVED IN FRUITVALE SINCE 1920

In the passing of Mrs. Flora Ellen Campbell, wife of J.H. Campbell yesterday morning, the Fruitvale district has lost another of its prominent and highly esteemed residents.

She had resided in that district since 1920, coming there with her husband and family from Cisco, Utah at that time. Besides being active in social circles in the district, she was especially devoted to her home and family. She had been ill with pnuemonia only five days prior to her passing.

Mrs. Campbell was born in 1870 in Eir (Ayr), Nebr., and was 66 years old. In 1896, she was married to J.H. Campbell to which union seven children were born, two of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Eva Ready of Fruitvale, Mrs. Elsie Bush of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Clarence Allen of Fruitvale, Miss Marie Campbell and Bruce Campbell, both of Fruitvale; also seven grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Thomas and Mrs. Lois Bunce, both of Dolores, Colo., and two brothers, Charles C. Roscoe of Dolores and Charles B. Roscoe of Roberts, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the chapel of the Callahan funeral home with Rev. Bert A. Bessire in charge. Interment will take place in the family plot in Orchard Mesa Cemetery."
