"RETURNING THE REMAINS OF A YOUNG SOLDIER

PHILIP A. CAMPBELL WHO DIED IN ENGLAND JANUARY 6, 1918, WILL BE BURIED HERE SUNDAY

Sunday afternoon at 1:30 there will be held at the Episcopal church, funeral services over the remains of Philip B. Campbell, a young soldier boy who entered the Army services from this county, and who passed away at Winchester, England, on January 6, 1919(8). The body was recently returned to this country, and should reach Grand Junction on Friday or Saturday.

The funeral service will be held under the auspices of the local post, American Legion, and a guard of honor will accompany the body to its last resting place in Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

Philip B. Campbell was 22 years of age at the time of his death, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Campbell, who now reside on a ranch, some three miles north and west of this city. He was registered for military service in Arizona, but received a transfer to go with the troops from Mesa County. He left here with a contingent of soldiers on November 1, 1917. His parents for some time resided on a ranch near Cisco, Utah, but since moved to the Grand Valley, and it was at their request that the body was returned here for burial."
