Betty J. Wesson age 77 a resident of Simpson, IL passed away June 4, 2010 at 8:13 AM at Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, IL.
She was born September 15, 1932 in Sikeston, MO. She was the daughter of Charles Baugher and Iva (Mercer) Baugher.
Betty was united in marriage to Leonard M. Wesson on November 24, 1980 in Phoenix, AZ. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2006.
Betty was a retired LPN and had worked in the Intensive Care Unit. She was a member of the Glendale Apostolic Church. Betty enjoyed reading, collecting state spoons, hunting and fishing. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include 2 sons, Arthur R. Walle of Kalispell, MT and Terrill K. Walle of Simpson, IL; 4 stepsons, Leonard E. Wesson of Phoenix, AZ; William P. Wesson of Arkadelphia, AR; Harrell Wesson of Phoenix, AZ; Jim Wesson of Napa, CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Lorene Cook of Missouri; 2 brothers, Jerry Baugher of Colorado and Fred Baugher of California; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Enid Patterson, Bonita Jones and June Cecil; and 6 brothers, Ivan Baugher, Loy Baugher, Bernie Baugher, Charlie Baugher, Irwin Baugher and Larry Baugher.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 4 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Pastor Harold Canup, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 PM – 4 PM Wednesday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
