Excerpts from the local paper, Monday, 17 Jan 1938:

Clyde L. Blood passed away on Saturday, January 15, at his home, 113 Williams Street in Jamestown. He was 70 years old. Mr. Blood was born at Steamburg, December 14, 1867, and had resided in Jamestown for 44 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Potter Blood; three daughters, Mrs. Marion L. Strickland of Rochester, Mrs. Flora E. Kreckman of North Chili, and Mrs. L. Pauline Thompson of Baltimore; five sisters, Mrs. Elva Bartlett and Mrs. Edith Chamberlain of Steamburg; Mrs. Nellie Lundquist of Oil City, Pa., Mrs. Agnes Henry of Toledo, O., and Mrs. Lucia Arnold of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three brothers, Lee Blood of Jamestown, Rosco Blood of Steamburg, and Herman Blood of Pontiac, Mich., and five grandchildren.

Mr. Blood had been a very active member of the local Free Methodist Church having been a member for 40 years. He was a Trustee for 39 years and the Treasurer for 30 years. He was elected eighteen times to be a delegate to the annual conference and elected ten times as one of Stationing Committee. Four times he was elected as delegate to the Genesee Conference and for eight years he was elected as a Trustee for that conference (ALW48).
