JUNCTION CITY -- Eugene Arthur Gould, 89, Junction City, died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at a Manhattan hospital.
He was born April 6, 1912, in Bemidji, Minn., to Leon and Alice Anderson Gould. He was a minister of the Church of Christ for more than 60 years. He was a retired elder of the Church of Christ, Temple Lot, in Independence, Mo.
He married Bernice Schultz on June 26, 1938, in Bemidji, Minn. They lived in several locations in Oregon and Missouri. They had lived in Junction City since 1998. She survives. A son, Richard Leroy Gould, and a daughter, Phyllis Leona Gould, preceded him in death.
Other survivors include a son, Raymond Gould, Junction City; two daughters, Elizabeth Tabler, Odessa, Mo., and Shirley Reeds, Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Don Gould, Bemidji, Minn.; three sisters, Darlene Smith, Ava, Mo., Helen Taubert, Milwaukee, and Amy Schrader, Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
