Ethel Mae Marshall Ball, 83, of Cedar Bluff, died April 23 at her home following a long ill­ness.
Born in Tazewell County, she was the daughter of the late Almarine (Bud) and Rosa Griffith Marshall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Graham Ball, six brothers and five sis­ters.
She was a member of the Chapel of Love Church.
Survivors: daughters, Marie Ray and husband, Jimmy, of Lebanon, Janis Chambers and husband, Terry, of Honaker, Nita Earls and husband, Kirk, of Arden, NC, Rita Frazier and husband, Bruce, of Cedar Bluff; sons, Don Ball and wife, Ruby, of Elk Garden, Dennis Ball and wife, Pam, of Keen Mountain, Lesley Ball and wife, Debbie, and Graham Ball and wife, Martha, all of Richlands; brother, Harvey Marshall of Richlands; sisters, Renda Ball and Becky Ball, both of Belfast; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted April 26 at 11 a.m. at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Roger Lester and Rev. Josephine Russ offici­ating.
Burial followed in the Reynolds Cemetery on Kents Ridge.
