Maxine B. Frick, 82, passed away on July 26, 2011. She was born on March 11, 1929, in Hoisington, Kansas to Joe and Bertha Beck. She moved to Georgetown, Texas in 1995, residing in Berry Creek. She and her husband, Sanford C. Frick, moved to Sun City in 2009. Maxine worked for Amoco Production in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Chicago, Illinois. She retired in 1986 from Amoco Minerals, in Englewood, Colorado.

Maxine was an active volunteer, giving her time, and energy to many organizations. She was a member First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, where she volunteered in the office, and was a member of Presbyterian Women's Circle, and Stephen Ministry. She was also a member of the PEO Chapter of Georgetown, and Assistance League. She played bridge, and was a gourmet cook, always seeking a new, and challenging, and delicious recipe.

Maxine is survived, and loved, by her husband of 42 years, Sanford C. Frick. She is also survived by her sister, Bernice Denbo of Claremore, OK; step-daughters, Tara J. Templeton and Diana L. Fitzgerald and husband Thomas M. Fitzgerald; granddaughters, Erin Fitzgerald, Shana Templeton, Jenna Templeton; and grandson, Ryan C. Fitzgerald and wife Abby. She will be missed by her beloved Shih Tzu, Su Ling.

The family would like to thank the medical staff of Scott and White in Round Rock and Temple, Texas, St. David's Hospital – Georgetown, and the staff of Park Place Nursing Home, Georgetown, Texas.

Also, thanks to all of you who sent get well cards, flowers, and prayers the past few months. We appreciate your thoughtfulness, and concern for Maxine, during her illness.

A visitation service will be held at Cook Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 30, 2011. A celebration of her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 703 South Church St., Georgetown, Texas 78626, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Graveside services will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Hwy 195, Killeen, Texas 76542, following the church service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 703 S. Church Street, Georgetown, Texas 78626 in honor of Maxine B. Frick.
