Obituary of William R. Conner 30 Apr 1966 , Chico, Butte, California, USA
William R. Conner, a resident of Chico for the past 43 years,
died at his home on North Cherry Street yesterday.
Conner was born at Covelo on Aug. 21, 1877 where he was reared and received his schooling.
On July 1, 1906, he and Frances Brush were married in Covelo.
In 1923 they moved to Chico where Conner worked for the U.S. Forest Service until his retirement in 1946.
Survivors include his widow Frances; two sons, Victor and Henry, all of Chico, and a daughter
Mrs. Wilma French of Anderson; four brothers, Raymond of Woodland, Alvin and Mal of Covelo,
and John Conner; four sisters Eunice Jamison of Ukiah; Hazel Cole of Covelo; Henrietta Peterson
of San Francisco, and Sadie Gilden of Ft. Bragg; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be held in the Chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Monday
and at 10 a.m. Tuesday a requiem mass will be said at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Interment will be in the Garden of the Holy Cross Glenn Oaks Memorial Park.

Wm Conner of the Traveler's Home Hotel, is confined to his bed with an attack of the flu this week.
-Surprise Valley Record, Cedarville, Modoc County California, July 1922-
W R Conner of the Travelors Home Hotel, made a trip to Chico last week and returned bringing with him Mrs Brush and four daughters, who will spend the summer here. Mrs Brush is the mother of Mrs Conner and Miss Nora Brush of this place.

The little daughter of Mr and Mrs W R Conner has been very ill the past week threatened with pneumonia, also the little son of Mr and Mrs A R Johnstone has been quite ill the past week, both are Improving we are glad to say.
