The son of Horace Justin and Sarah Phebe [White] Hatch, Calvin born in 1910 in Stoneham, Mass., was married to Margaret Saunders Cargill, daughter of Robert and Jane [Beattie] Cargill.
Calvin and Margaret married 06 April 1933 in Salem, New Hampshire. They had 2 children, a living daughter and a son, Calvin George Hatch, Jr. who died at the age of only 40 years, 5 months and 4 days in 1974.

Calvin went by and used the name George Calvin or Calvin George on records.
He enlisted as a private on June 13th 1928 at Malden, Mass., in Company K, 182 d Infantry National Guard. He married, had children and then got an order to report for induction on the 7th of June 1945 in Andover, Mass.
He served as a Private First Class in the 428 Army Air Force Base Unit in the United States Army. He was Honorably Discharged from Fort Dix in New Jersey on the 27th of Aug 1946.
Calvin was a member of the Saint Mathews Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts from Nov. 1951 until he died in March 1958.
Calvin's occupation's ranged from a farmer, a Salesman, a Die Controlman, a laborer in the shoe manufacturing industry and a private in the US Army. In his younger years he spent a lot of time with his uncle William Oscar Hatch traveling out west by train.
