CORBIN, KY - Boyd, Edna LeForce, 94, died. O'Neil Funeral Home.

Edna LeForce Boyd, 94, of Corbin passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 30, 1916 on the family farm in Wofford to parents, Charles William and Lula Meadors LeForce. On February 21, 1941, Edna married Will Ernest Boyd, who preceded her in death in 1989. Also preceding her in death were brothers Herman, Milton, Charles, and Harold LeForce and sisters Opal Evans and Josephine Vaughn. Edna is survived by her sister Nan Smith and many nieces and nephews. Edna and Ernest traveled through most of the United States during vacations through the years, gardened, worked in the church, and practiced conservation and recycling before it became popular. Later Edna worked at J. C. Penney's. She was an industrious, independent, spirited lady with a quick sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and a deep faith in Christ. She battled many physical ailments with little complaint - a steel magnolia. Through life's journey, Edna served the Lord. She's gone home now to be with Him. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church, 1632 Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, KY 40701. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace on the Hill UMC in memory of Edna.
