Alice Temperance Dutton,
daughter of Lina and Tom
Higgins was born in Elwood,
Neb., October 5, 1892 and died,
at the Republic County hospital
July 10, 1970 at the age of 77
years.
She moved with her parents
to Kansas and received her
education in the Concordia
schools. She attended the
United Brethren church there.
January 11, 1911 she was
married to Thomas R. Dutton.
They spent their married life in
Republic and Cloud counties.
One son and one daughter were
born.
She was preceded in death by
her parents and two brothers.
Survivors are: her two
children, T. Edward of rural
Belleville, and Mrs. Othal D.
Vrana of Wichita; one brother,
Clyde of Salina; a sister, Mrs.
Bessie Oakland of Meridan,
Idaho; 8 grandsons; 11 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held in
the United Methodist church in
Belleville July 13 with the Rev.
Interment was in the Belleville
cemetery.
