BENNETT, Iowa — Ella V. Dahl, 96, of Bennett, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton, Iowa. She was born June 25, 1913, in rural Bennett, to John Dahl and Lucy Pohlmann Dahl.
Ella attended rural school and graduated from Clarence High School in 1930. She worked at Farmers Coop for eight years and the Golden Star Creamery for five years, both in Bennett. She was then employed at Horstmann's Store in Big Rock, Iowa, for many years, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Pentecost, of Tipton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Oscar, sister, Edna Krafock, brothers-in-law, Karl Krafock and Monte Pentecost, sister-in-law, Frances Dahl, and niece, Bethany Krafock.
