He was born in Stanhope, N. J., March 22, 1877 and for sixteen years conducted a grocery business in Garwood. He came to Westfield three years ago. He was a member of Cranford Camp, Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth McElheney Shuster, three children, Gwendolyn, Philip and Eleanor Shuster; six brothers, Lawrence, of Roselle, Leo and William of Roselle Park, Samuel and George of Elizabeth and John of Newark and one sister, Mrs. Eva Reynolds of Netcong, N. J.
Funeral services with a high requiem mass were held in Holy Trinity Catholic Church of which he was a communicant yesterday morning at
9 o'clock with the Rev. Henry J. Watterson, the director, officiating. Interment was made in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
