Born Feb. 11, 1895 in Knobsville, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Emma (Hershey) Gress. She was united in marriage to Orville R. Beatty on April 30, 1918. Her husband survives.
She is also survived by the following children: C. Edward Beatty and Mrs. Mabelle Evans, both of' Harrisburg; John S. Beatty of Needmore; Louise Beatty of Camp Hill; and Mrs. M. Jane Conte of New Cumberland. Twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Needmore Grange No. 1980 and was a former member of the War - Ne - Do Club of Warfordsburg.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with Elder Russell Sutthin officiating. Interment will be made in Sideling Hill Baptist Cemetery near Needmore.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 9p.m.
