Dayton resident Vernon H. Foster, 79, died Aug. 20, 1976, at Salem Memorial Hospital.
Son of William E. and Luella B. Hibbert Foster, he was born in Dayton, April 25, 1898 and had lived there all his life.
Mr. Foster married Elizabeth Sims on June 9, 1928 in Dayton where he farmed.
He was a member of the Dayton Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Foster, Dayton; son, Vernon W. Foster, Dayton; brother, Clark B. Foster, Dayton; sister, Mrs. Sellah Rooper, The Dalles; and two grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 24 at the Chapel of Macy & Son with the Rev. Gerald Carter officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum.
