Thursday, April 17, 2003 Geneva Dean Harvey, 93, of Elmwood, Nicholasville, died at Central Baptist Hospital Tues., April 15. She was the widow of Ottis Harvey who died in 1972. A native of Jessamine County, she was born on September 30, 1909, to the late Harvey and Elva Kemp Dean. Mrs Harvey worked at Heathman's Grocery for over 17 years and had been a member of Wesley Methodist Chapel for many years but had attended Tabernacle BaptistChurch for the last several years. Survivors include one son, Woodrow Harvey of Nicholasville; five grandchildren, Kimberly Harvey, Dianna Huckelberry, Scott Harvey, Allen Dean Harvey and Woodrow "Butch" Harvey Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, J.C. Harvey who died in 1993, 6 brothers, Floyd Wilson, Carl Vernon, Harrison, James Harvey and Craig Dean; four sisters, Buanna Roberts, Edna S. Blakeman, Mattie Ann Roberts and Lillian Hunt. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home on Oak St., with Rev Lonnie Moore officiating. Burial in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel Stocker, Larry Roberts, Charles David Dean, Woodrow "Butch" Harvey, Jr., Scott Harvey and Allen Dean Harvey. Visitation will be from 5 - 8p.m. on Thursday, APril 17 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.
