Born in Mount Calvary Feb. 20, 1898, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Boehlen, he attended Catholic school there. He married the former Appolonia Wettstein Nov. 5, 1924, at Marytown.
Mr. Boehlen was employed at the former Northern Furniture Co. and was a general engineer at the old Foeste Hotel and the Fountain Park Motor Inn for 30 years.
He was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Apostolate of Suffering.
Survivors include his wife, a son, three sisters, and two brothers. Preceding him in death were a son, brother, and four sisters.
A requiem Mass will be concelebrated at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church; burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
