Mrs. Mary Fitts, age 89, died Friday. She resided in Attalla and was buried at Attalla Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, James Fitts; children, Mrs. Mamie Lecroy, Mrs. Nina Talton, Lee B. Fitts and Jimmie Fitts, Jr. all of Attalla, Mrs. Elizabeth McGhee and H.R. Fitts, both of Alabama City and Joe Fitts of Brent; siblings, Joe and Charlie Englebert and Mrs. G.A. Hill, all of Tuscaloosa. (Gadsden Times, 3 January 1954)
