MRS. WILLIAM MAURER DIED AUGUST 28TH

Mrs. William Maurer, 62, Avon resident died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 28th at the St. Cloud hospital Mrs. Maurer was born nee Helen Bettendorf, July 16, 1885 at St. Cloud.

In 1923, she married William Maurer. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Rodenwald, Duluth and Mrs. herman Heinen, Avon.

Funeral services were conducted by her brother, the Rev. John Bettendorf, Monday, September 1st at St. Benedict's Church in Avon and interment made in the local cemetery. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Christian Mothers of the parish.

Brothers and sisters surviving are: Brother Leo, St. John's University; Mrs. Stanley Truzinski, St. Cloud; Joseph Bettendorf, Riverdale Heights, Maryland; Mrs. Luke Haden, St. Paul; Peter Bettendorf, Minneapolis and Rev. John Bettendorf, Sauk Centre.

Pallbearers were Robert Mergen, Jake Ohman, Roman Thielman, Nick Smith, Elmer Diedrich and Roman Schmidt. Hononary pallbearers from the Christian Mothers Society were Mrs. Elmer Diedrich, Mrs. Nick Smith, Mrs. Robert Mergen, Mrs. Jake Ohman, Mrs. Margaret Bohmers and Mrs. N.F. Thielman.




Helen was born July 15, 1885 in Esumption, Minnesota. Father is Peter Bettendoef, mother unknown. He is married to William and they are residents of From. She died August 29, 1947 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud and was buried at the St. Benedict Cemetery.
