Preston H. Boisseau was born about 1872/73 based upon his being 7 years of age in the 1880 Federal Census of Dinwiddie County, Virginia. His father, Judge James Boisseau, died in 1872, perhaps before Preston's birth or shortly after. He was the youngest of 4 BOISSEAU children born to Judge James and Martha Elizabeth (Cousins) Boisseau: Sterling, (1862 - 1938); Ada Cousins (1864 - 1890); Emma Robinson (1869 - 1936); and Preston (@1872/73 - 1904). Have not been able to find Preston Boisseau in the 1900 Federal Census which would give his month and year of birth. The following is a account of Preston Boisseau's death in Petersburg, Virginia, on 17 May 1904:

Killed by a Train.
Special Dispatch to the Alexandria Gazette:
Richmond, Va. - May 17.- Preston H. Boisseau, a young man, who formerly held a responsible position in the Southern Railway office in Washington, was killed in Petersburg today in an effort to board a Seaboard Air Line passenger train. The unfortunate young man was a candidate for the Legislature in Dinwiddie County last year.

Also see attached an obituary in the Petersburg, Virginia, newspaper on the same date.
NOTE: One source reported that Preston H. Boisseau was buried in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia. The cemetery has no record of his burial. Since his father died in 1872 and was buried at "Cedar Lane", his estate, in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, and Preston was not married at the time of his death, he was most likely buried with his father. His mother, who was still living at the time of his death, died in 1906 and was buried at "Cedar Lane".
