James Franklin Nissen was born Jan. 22, 1926, in Laurel, Nebraska, the son of August Nissen and Olga Jensen. Jim lived in Lincoln, Neb., until moving to Yuma in 1958. He m1. Nadine Lois Minchow; they divorced. He m2. Madonna. He was employed by Arizona Beverage and All American Distributing Company until his retirement. He died at his home in Springerville.
Jim was survived by his wife, Madonna; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Becky; grandsons Nathan, Matthew, and Jordan Nissen, and his brother Jene. He was preceded by his parents, his son Terry, brothers Don and Bob, and sister JoAnn Carten.
