David Lacobee (Ret. Capt. SFD)
KEITHVILLE, LA - Services for David Lacobee, 59, were held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 13, 1994 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. Officiating was Father Philip Michiels, pastor of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, assisted by Father Curtis Woods with St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church and Chaplain Durell Tuberville with the Shreveport Fire Department. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery, Stonewall, La.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. Sunday with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.
Mr. Lacobee died Friday, June 10, 1994 in Keithville, La. the victim of an armed robbery. He was born in Hope Villa, La. and had resided in Keithville for the past 20 years. He was a retired Captain with the Shreveport Fire Department with 22 years of service. Mr. Lacobee was Catholic and was a former Fire Chief of the Keithville Volunteer Fire Department and served on its board. He was presently owner and operator of Buford's Grocery Store in Keithville.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Young Lacobee; mother, Jennie A. Lacobee both of Keithville, La. daughter, Patti Lacobee of Milford, N.J.; daughter-in-law, Rhonda F. Lacobee of Shreveport; former daughter-in-law, Rene' Lacobee; two granddaughters, Jamie and Krissy Lacobee all of Shreveport; three sisters, Julia Ebarb of Keithville, La., Linda Miles of Shreveport and Jennie Wright of Carrollton, TX; one brother, H. H. "Buddy" Lacobee of Shonga-loo, La.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Roland Liles, O. B. Branch, James Burford, Jimmy Lyles, Carl King, Jim Clark and honorary pallbearer, Dallas Greene.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church Building Fund. SHB
