Ben Blanck, New Holstein, Is Dead At 60
Church At St. Anna Site Of Services For Area Native

Ben F. Blanck, 60, New Holstein, R. 1, died early Thursday morning at St. Mary's hospital, Rochester, Minn., the result of a heart condition. He was born Nov. 4, 1902, near Mt. Calvary, the son of the late August and Catherine Blanck. He attended Holy Cross Catholic school at Mt. Calvary. He married Alvina Schoenborn of Marytown, May 6, 1930, at St. Mary's church. The couple lived on a farm near St. Anna. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic church and the Holy Name society of the church. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Donald Vorpahl, Kiel; two sons, Robert, Johnsburg, and Howard; New Holstein, R. 2; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Carl, Flint, Mich., and Ervin, West Allis; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Pickart, Mt. Calvary, and Mrs. George Ditter, Armstrong; and two half sisters, Mrs. Maxwell Atkinson and Mrs. Elmer Buechel, both of Mt. Calvary. Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral home at Kiel from 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services. A funeral mass will be read at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Ann's Catholic church, St. Anna, following brief rites at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Benedict H. Marx will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
