THE DEATH OF ETHEL B. ROUDEBUSH
Mrs. Ethel B. Roudebush, 86, formerly of 1103 Salem Street, died at 8:45 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been hospitalized three weeks and in failing health six years. Born in Lauramie Township, she moved to Lafayette Healthcare Center four and one-half years ago. In 1912 she was married to Rev. Walter John Roudebush. He was a United Brethren minister in the St. Joseph conference and served several parishes in northern Indiana before his death in 1936.Mrs. Roudebush was employed at Purdue University for 17 years, retiring in 1955. After retiring she was a gray lady at St. Elizabeth Hospital for five years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Hope Chapter 5, and Rebekah Lodge. She was a former member of Pythian Sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Troy (Lois) Moore of rural Lafayette and Mrs. Morgan (Maxine) Morehouse of New Orleans, La. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Landis-Loy Mortuary, and funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. L. Kenneth Kraft officiating. Interment at Conroe Cemetery. Also surviving are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
