Mrs. Caroline Haas
The death of Mrs. Caroline Haas occurred at her home on North State Street Saturday morning, November 11. The funeral was held yesterday morning from the Catholic church, the burial taking place in the Catholic cemetery.
Mrs. Haas was born in Missouri in 1848, and was married forty-eight years ago, to George Haas at their old home in Illinois. They came to Minnesota in 1875, settling at New Ulm. Her husband, who was in business here for several years, died many years ago.
Mrs. Haas leaves three children, two sons and one daughter, all residing in this city. They are: John, Louis and Carrie.
The death of Mrs. Haas was very sudden. She arose quite early Saturday morning, dying a few minutes later almost without warning. The coroner, Dr. G.F. Reineke, was called and decided that death was caused from heart failure.
