Lifelong Seminole resident Donald Vincent Selfridge, Sr. passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the age of 77. He was born on May 21, 1932 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Fred

Lemuel and Opal (Anson) Selfridge. He married Earlene (Fine) on August 3, 1955 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Don retired from the United States Army and was a part time police officer.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Earlene Selfridge of the home, son, Don Selfridge, Jr. of Seminole, two daughters; Teresa Trammell and Lisa Selfridge both of Seminole, brother, Mike Selfridge of Harrah, Oklahoma, three sisters; Ella Mae Dobbs of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Julie Fellows of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Jeanette Cabanas of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, two nephews, Mark and Andy Selfridge. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Cadence Selfridge of Seminole, Kristi Richardson of Montana and Janice Hanley of Fayetteville, two great grandchildren; Valek Hanley and Isabella Hanely of Fayetteville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Karen Richardson Selfridge, brother, Bill Selfridge, sister, Tena Selfridge and a niece, Tena Mae Selfridge.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Selfridge, Mark Selfridge, Shannon Smith, Travis Palmer, Danny Anson, Charles Sisco, Danny Trammell, David Anson and Charles Anson. Honorary Pallbearer will be: Jerry Anson.
