Mike served in the U.S. Army and after leaving the service worked as a police officer for over 25 years, earning his Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma City University in 1980. For the past 18 years, Mike worked at The Urban Mission helping needy families and children in OKC.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Peggy Garrett Selfridge of the home; son, Andrew Michael Selfridge and wife Nonie; beloved granddaughter, Gloria; sisters, Ella Mae Dobbs, Jeanette Cabaniss and Julie Fellows; and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A memorial service will be 5:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel.
