George E. Atkins 60 years old died at his home on Route 2 in the Hazel Hill Township,Mo. March 11,1964 morning around 11 o'clock after an accident when he was struck by a falling limb. A view inquest was held by county corner Kelly Rawlins. Mr. Atkins was born on April 10, 1903 in Blairstown,Mo. the son of the late Robert Oliver and Dora Alice (Doak) Atkins. He and Ina V. Burriss married in Jefferson City ,Missouri on August 21,1930. He was a farmer and lived in the community for 26 years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Blairstown,Mo.. He is survived by his wife of the home ,two sister Mrs Harry Salsbury 217 East Gay Street, Mrs Mary Atkins Blairstown,Mo. and two brothers John Atkins and Jennings Atkins both of Blairstown,Mo.. Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock March 13, 1964 at the First Baptist Church in Warrensburg,Mo.. The Rev. Frank E. Myers pastor of the church will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. Clyde Miller of the Presbyterian Church . Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg Missouri.
