Ruby Adams FLORENCE - Ruby Masters Adams, 80, died in a local hospital Wednesday, July 20, 2011. A graveside service will be Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens, Florence, SC. The family will speak to friends and visitors immediately following the service.
Mrs. Adams was born in Crossville, Alabama, the daughter of the late Robert Sherman and Leona Buchannon Masters. She was a member of West Florence Church of Christ. Mrs. Adams was a member of AARP and worked as a volunteer with various senior citizen organizations in Florence including "Meals On Wheels". Ruby shared her time with church members by providing them a ride to church. She was a bookkeeper with Seaboard Coastline Federal Credit Union before she retired. She was married to the late Louie Adams.
Memorials may be made to West Florence Church of Christ, 811 S. Cashua Dr., Florence, SC 29501. The family will receive visitors at the home of Mr. Joe Griffith, 4112 W. Pelican Lane, Florence, SC. Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence, SC is assisting the family with arrangements.
