Mariam married, October 14, 1756, Joshua How of Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut by whom she had 10 children (5 sons and 5 daughters): David (1757-1814), Elizabeth (1759-1759), Asa (1760-1844), Samuel (1762-1844), Elizabeth (1767-1767), Euncie (1769-1825), Joshua (1771-1851), Ruth (1774-1846), Joseph (1776-1836) and Meriam.
Subsequent to the death of her first husband Joshua in 1800, Mariam, at about the age of 66 years, married next Matthias Button. Matthias died in 1811 at the age of 79 years.
