Bea taught school at District 55 for one year.
In 1935 she married Harold "Swede" Forsberg of Appleton. To this union four children were born. Harold operated Forsberg's Leader Department Store with his father, A.T. Forsberg, until WWII. At the end of the war they returned to Appleton until the death of Harold's father in 1959. Harold and Bernice owned a business in Grand Forks, North Dakota until 1963. They then settled in Clarkfield, where they owned and operated Forsberg's Market until their retirement in 1980. Harold passed away in 1983. In 2004, Bernice moved to Valhalla Apartments where she received lots of "TLC."
