Mary was the daughter of Herman Ahle and Augusta Klemme Ahle.

On October 25, 1888, Mary Ahle married Carl Henry Blaue.
Mary and Carl farmed and together they had five children:
August Blaue (died when he was 1)
George Blaue,
Ella Blaue Brauks,
Oscar Blaue and
Charles Blaue.

Mary and Carl had only been married 12 years when Carl died on February 16, 1901, at the age of 41.

On April 18, 1906, Mary married Louis Panhorst, a widower with five living children.

Mary had four children living and became a stepmother to:
Ewald Panhorst,
Dena Panhorst Hoemann,
Louis Panhorst,
Benjamin Panhorst and
Ella Panhorst Schuerkamp.

Mary and Louis had been married 29 years when Louis died January 6, 1936, at the age of 81. Mary was 73 when she died on November 18, 1944. Mary is buried alongside her
second husband, Louis Panhorst.

The Gerald Journal - November 24, 1944:
Mrs. Mary Panhorst, widow of the late Louis F. Panhorst of Gerald Route 1, died at her farm home 7 miles north of Gerald on Saturday morning, November 18, 1944, at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 19 days.
Mrs. Panhorst, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ahle, was born in Red Oak, south of Rosebud, on January 29, 1871.
On October 25, 1888, she was united in marriage to Carl Blaue in the Casco Evangelical church. To this union five children were born, one of whom died at the age of six months. After thirteen years of marriage, Mr. Blaue died.
Later she was united in marriage to Louis F. Panhorst with whom they shared life together for almost thirty years when death called him to his reward in 1936.
Mrs. Panhorst enjoyed seemingly good health until about six months ago when ailments of increasing seriousness began.
She leaves to mourn her death three sons: George, Oscar and Charles; one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Brauks; one sister, Mrs. August Brandt; two brothers, William and Edward Ahle; three step-sons, Ewald, Louis and Ben Panhorst; two step-daughters, Mrs. Henry Hoeman and Mrs. Ella Schuerkamp; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held November 21, at the home followed by services in the Stone Church with burial in the church cemetery.
