She and her first husband, Dennis Kevin Dunn, were married 46 years. He preceded her in death in 1978. Their children are Violet and husband Chester Warix of Dow, IL, Kevin David and wife Edna Dunn of Crossville, TN., and Judith Croteau and husband Russell of Hesperia, CA. She is also survived by: one sister, Wilma Chappee of Carrollton, IL, one brother, Bob Barnard of Cape Coral, FL., 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She retired from the Illinois Mental Health Center. She was a member of Delhi Baptist Church and served as deaconess there and taught Sunday School for years. She was an avid quilt maker and enjoyed crocheting and crafting. She was always ready to share her time and talents with others. She later married Harry Hayes and he preceded her death in 2005.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by 1 sister, Geneva Irene Barnard, 7 brothers: Truman Guy, Curtis Steward, Junius Stanley, Lloyd George, Derald Dee, Gerald Gene and William Richard; step-daughter, Marti Dunn and granddaughter, Denise (Warix) McKean.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday August 5, 2013 at Alexander & Gubser Funeral in Jerseyville, service will be Tuesday August 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Officiant Pastor Jeff Warix. Burial at Richwood Cemetery near Roodhouse, IL., Memorials may be given to Delhi Baptist Church.
