Mrs. Smith, who was 83 years of age and the widow of the late Julius M. Smith, of Ellabelle, Ga., was a woman of exemplary traits of character, and was held in the love and esteem of many friends. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. K. Borson, of Crescent City; Mrs. Fred Cadieux, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Daisy Bricker, of Jacksonville, and four sons, Robert L. Smith, of Crescent City; J. H. Smith, E. C. Smith and J. S. Smith, of Ellabelle, Ga., and thirteen grandchildren.
The body, accompanied by the bereaved family, was taken Sunday afternoon to Ellabelle, where funeral services were held Monday evening from the Methodist Church, Rev. J. W. McMichael, the pastor, officiating. The interment was made in the family section in the Ellabell cemetery. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 3 Apr 1931.)
