Death came to Mrs. Hattie Rus, 61, wife of Peter Rus Jr. residing at 705 Independence street in Pella, on Monday morning, February 7, 1972.
Hattie, daughter of Gerrit W. and Anna Vande Lune Andringa, was born at Pella on August 8, 1910. Her parents moved to the Peoria vicinity after her birth where she graduated from the Peoria Christian School.
On March the 8th, 1940 Hattie was united in marriage with Peter Rus Jr. They farmed for some years after their marriage and moved into Pella in 1960 where they resided until the time of her death.
Profession of her faith was made at the Peoria Christian Reformed Church and her membership was transferred to the First Christian Reformed Church where she was a member at the time of death.
Surviving are her husband, Peter; 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Irene, Mrs. Henry Nieuwsma of Oskaloosa; Minnie, Mrs. Paul Nieuwsma; Anna, Mrs. Conrad De Vries, Gerrit Andringa and William Andringa all of Pella.
Her father died in 1944 and her mother died in 1948.
