"Mrs. Joan Yvonne Row, 71 years of age, passed away July 19, 2011 in the Hendrick Trauma Center. Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph Roy and Bertha Ida Wright Savage, born June 24, 1940 in Gouldbusk, Texas. She married Joe Edward Row May 6, 1958 in Abilene, Texas and they have lived in Coleman since 1980, living earlier in the Midland area. Joan was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
"Survivors include her husband, Joe Row of Coleman; two daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Lee and husband Michael Gallaher and Linda Joe Lean Rice; son and daughter-in-law, Steven Ray and Mary Row all of Coleman County and Coleman; two sisters and brother-in-law, Violet Marie Row and Esther Ruth and James Watson both of Coleman; brother, Robert Eugene Savage; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
"Family visitation is Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Coleman. Services are Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chip Pinkerton, minister of the Central Baptist Church, officiating with interment to follow in the Gouldbusk Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Daniel Row, Joe R. Row, Eric Payne, Justin Allcorn, Gregg Staggs, Bobby Savage, and Michael Gallaher.
