Pvt. U.S. Army WWII Veteran- Mr. Pryor died at St. Francis Hospital on 9-27-1968.

He is the son of Mr. LeRoy & Mrs. Marie (Carter) Pryor Sr. of Peoria, Illinois. Mr. Pryor came to Peoria when he was 14, and was into the Golden Gloves scene. Mr. Pryor was married to a Miss Viola Anna Hurst in Peoria on August 16, 1950, and she later died on 12-31-1967. He was the father of entertainer Richard Pryor. He does leave two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Mayfield, and Miss Sharon Pryor, both of Peoria, and one sister, Mrs. Maxine (Pryor) Johnson of Bloomington, Illinois, and two brothers, Richard E. Pryor of Peoria, and John D. Pryor of Seattle, Wsahington.

Awards: American Campaign Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal.
