HARRY ROCKWELL. Services for Harry Rockwell, 87, of Canton were held August 22 at the Morse Funeral Home, Canton, the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Interment was in Franklindale Christian Church Cemetery. Mr. Rockwell died at his home on August 19, 1973. He was an ardent baseball enthusiast and was the star pitcher for the Laquin baseball team in the early 1900's. Mr. and Mrs. Rockwell celebrated their 87th wedding anniversary this past April 28. Surviving are his wife, Helen; daughters, Catherine Myers of Towanda RD 1, Mrs. Gordon Morse of Canton RD 1, Mrs. Edgar Schrader of Canton RD 1, Miss Betty Rockwell of Canton RD 1; sons, Max of Canton; Ivor and Robert of Canton RD 1; 28 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. –Canton Independent Sentinel.
