Funeral for Ollie Parker, 70, Taylor County resident for 38 years was held this morning at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Runnels, Pentecostal Minister officiating. Burial was in Sweetwater, Texas beside the grave of her husband who died in 1917.
Mrs. Parker died Sunday morning at the home of a son, Joe Parker, 733 Cherry Street, after a 3 month illness. She was born at Commerce on November 14, 1868.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Holbrook, Sweetwater and Mrs. Elna Kelsey, Dallas. Eight sons, Sam, Joe, Lee, Jim, D.F. of Abilene, Mart of Locker, George of Rowden, Jess of Parker, AZ. A brother and a sister, 30 granchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.
