Joseph was married to Rebecca Miller,daughter of Greenberry Miller and Mary Tate. They were married October 30, 1882 in Hunt Co. Texas. They had two children: Aaron and Polly. Rebecca died Bet. 1889 - 1899 possibly died during child birth of Aaron. Joseph remarried Martha Caldonia " Callie", daughter of Josiah Hart "Sye" Jackson and Julianna Walker, in Hunt Co., Tx on September 13, 1899. They had three children; Virgil, Andrew and Lorene.

Joseph P. Fulfer was married before he married my grandmother Martha Callie Jackson. He had two childen Polly and Dick. My grandmother had Polly and Dick long after my grandfather left her. She had three children with my grandfather Joe, whom grandmother called Seafus a nickname. She married William (Bill) Daniels and had two more children with him. Opal and Willy. Dick was accidently shot when his gun fell from where he was holding it. My grandmother spoke of Uncle Dick with such deep deep love. She always told us of what a kind and gentle person he was. My grandmother was 3 years older than Polly and 6 years older than Dick. Dick worked and hunted to help grandmother feed the children when grandpa would leave. Written by Elizabeth Martin. Joseph died June 10, 1913 in Abilene, Taylor Co., TX and is buried in Potosi Cemetery close to his father.
