Husband of Anne Stafford, daughter of Sir Humphrey de Stafford and Katherine Fray, daughter of Sir John. They were married about 1490 and produced six sons and six daughters:
· John, 3rd Lord Latimer, married Dorothy de Vere, Elizabeth Musgrave and Catherine Parr
· William, who lived at Penwyn
· Sir Thomas, wh lived at Piggot's Hardley, Essex
· Marmaduke, who lived at Marks Tey, Essex
· George, Archdeacon of Carlisle
· Christopher
· Margaret, wife of Edward Willoughby
· Dorothy, wife of Sir John Daunay
· Elizabeth, wife of Christopher Danby
· Katherine
· Susanna, wife of Richard Norton
· Joan
Richard was a legatee in his mother's will, who bequeathed him her wedding ring. He took part with the King Henry II in the Simnel rebellion and the Battle of Stoke in 1487. e was summoned to Parliament from 1491 to 1529 as Ricardo Nevill de Latimer's chivaler. Richard fought at the Battle of Flodden in 1513.
After Anne's death, he married secondly, Margaret, widow of Sir James Strangeways, who died 16 Dec 1521.
Richard died at Snape Castle and was buried at Wells with Anne.
