Marion Caroline Mathilda Nelson, ten year old daughter of Mr and Mrs George Nelson passed away at the family home near Sunrise Lake Wednesday evening February 27 follwing a brief illness of a couple of days. Marion was born July 30, 1935 and she lived in the local community all her life. She attended the local grade school and also the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church school. Besides her parents she is mourned by the seven sisters and brothers, Gladys, Evelyn, Lorraine, Charles, May, Janet and John.
Marion's funeral services was held in the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church Saturday afternoon at 2:00 conducted by the Rev J Walton Kempe. the Chi Hi trio consited of Lois Anderson, Verlie Mattson, Evelyn Anderson sung two numbers and Miss Agda Wennerberg accompanied them. Pastor Kempe spoke using as text Genisis 8 verse 9 and using as theme "She returned unto him."
The pallbearers were John Haker, Allen Kohls, Earl Palmquist, Roger Hagstrom, Leon Rydin, Kay Kaufman. Interment took place in the Chisago Lake Cemetary.
