Funeral services for Mr. B.R. Westmoreland, former Griffinite, will be conducted in Walhalla, South Carolina, Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in that city.

Mr. Westmoreland, 71 years of age, died Sunday at 5 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. M.T. Johnson, in LaGrange. He had been in declining health for several years.

For more than 30 years Mr. Westmoreland was overseer at the Rushton Mill here. In recent years he had made his home in LaGrange and elsewhere.

Surviving Mr. Westmoreland are his widow, the former Miss Julia Shockley, of Griffin; six daughters, Mrs. Albert Stackpool, of New York City, Mrs. Henderson Wells, of Kernersville, N. C., Mrs. M.T. Johnson, of LaGrange, Mrs. Jack Hambrick, of Athens, and Mrs. Neal Jimmerson and Miss Winona Westmoreland, of Griffin; two brothers, including J.V. Westmoreland, of Griffin; and five sisters.

J.V. Westmoreland will leave Griffin tonight to attend the funeral.
